I went to the best show that I have ever been to last night. period. No other show even comes close. I can't even describe how great it was. I felt like I was somewhere very special... somewhere where everything rocked.... somewhere where everything made sense.... a place that hasn't existed since the 80's... was it Heaven? no, it would have had to be somewhere closer to hell to rock as hard as this show did.... I know you are asking yourself: "What bands could have sent Sean to this euphoric place of rock and roll?" To answer this question I say: only the greatest heavy metal bands that have ever walked this here earth: MOTORHEAD, DIO, and IRON MAIDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes you read correctly. The three most hesh bands to ever create metal. The three greatest hesher bands of all time. It was awesome. It made me want to grow my hair out super long and to throw on some skin tight jeans with some Nike Air hightops. It was f'n great. I haven't yelled so much at a show ever. I have never had a smile on my face for as long as I did that night. I have never rocked out as hard as I rocked out that night. I have never felt so alive and charged up in my life. It was great. Long live metal!

Weekend in Review:

So this weekend really started on Thursday night (as it always should, and usually does). So since it started on Thursday, I'll start with a little recap of thursday nigt.....

Thursday: Bowling, last night of the league, we were tied for first and had to beat the best team in the league to win. I got drunk. I threw a 226, 224, and 191. We won. I drank a lot. It was a great night. We were rockstars.

Bodycount for thursday: 1 1/2 pitchers of Fat Tire.

Friday: Friday was also a rockstar night. 568 went to the lake, and then out to dinner at the great Mexican Resturant in Down Town RWC. Had some great f'n food. Chilled. Drank margaritas. then cruzed up to the Pioneer, a dive bar in woodside. There was a live band playing Led Zep and Bad Company. It was awesome. The drinks were strong and the atmosphere was great. One of my old friends from HS met us there, it was good to hang out with her and to catch up. Hopefully my friends and I didn't scare her too much. It was a fun night. We almost rolled the car off roading on the way home.... attempted a crazy hill climb and almost rolled the car again... the driver was sober for the record. Capn' Damian puked when we got home. I was pretty hung over the next day. It was well worth it.

body count: one fat tire, one bottle of ice cold bud, two strong margaritas, one jack with a shot of coke, and three of the strongest 7 and 7's that I have ever had... I question wether there was any 7up in them at all. The Pioneer hooks it up on the strong drink tip.

Saturday: chilled durring the day, tried to fix my car and failed. no worries. Went for a really hard bike ride in the hills and on the trails by half moon bay. It was an awesome day for a ride. I rode really hard. got home and jammed down to the lake. Swam and dove for around 30 min and then cruzed home to eat. BBQed some cheesedogs and drank some beers. Then at around 10 we all went to PA for some drunken bowling. I got super faded. at one point I was drinking from two beverages at the same time. Margaritas and Jack and Coke go well together. I gave up bowling for a bit and had someone else bowl for me while I flew co pilot. Flying copilot with two drinks in your hand is fun. We had a lot of fun. They played some great music. It was awesome. Towards the end of the night we were bowling two people at a time and got kicked off the lanes. I had to appologise to the manager. I felt stupid. But on a lighter note I got drunk and had a lot of fun.

Body count 1 Twenty-two of anchor, one Mirror Pond, 5 pints of fat tire, one margarita, one jack and coke, one shot of yeger somewhere in there....

Sunday: chilled... tryied to recover.... it was a long weekend... swam at the lake, workedon some dives... it was a good day.

My good friend Jamie just sent this to me... I sent it to her a few months ago to cheer her up when her car was pissing her off... good friends are rad....

cars are dumb,
oh yes they are,
They'll burn your money
so you can't go to the bar

but where would we be
without a car
stuck at home
not going far....

why aren't they cheap
why aren't they free
for little parts
I just can't see

take my money
take my cash
take my earnings
my car I'll smash

I hate bills
I hate fees
time to go home
and cry on my knees
my car is fucking with me again and I am pissed off and thinking about killing it into lots and lots of little grey and black particles of trash. stupid car.

I went on a 14 mile bike ride before work today. Talk about gettin up on the good foot. What a great way to start the day. I've been feeling great lately... I think because I have been so active lately. It feels really good to be getting into shape again. I feel like a whole new person lately... which is rad. Skating a lot, riding a lot, swimming a lot.... Gotta keep it up. Gotta keep on rockin it...

Weekend In Review:

Friday: Didn't do much... went to PA to pick up my car. Went out to Thai food, which was pretty tasty. Went to Blockbuster and rented a movie. fell asleep.... it was chill, I needed chill.

Saturday:
Woke up early and got motivated to go shred. I skated like a crazy fool for most of the day. I took the usual Sunnyvale/Palo Alto tour with Capn' Stew. It was a lot of fun. We skated Sunnyvale for close to three hours. After we chilled in the shade at the park for a bit we drove up to P.A. and went to Taco Bell for some lunch. After some suprisingly good food and a whole lot of soda we cruzed over to Greer and hit up the bowls for another 2-3 hours. We threw down some super speed hesher lines and even a few good tricks here and there... it was a great day. After the sesh I cruzed home to tha RWC and then went down to the lake for some diving and swimming. Hit a few pretty good dives and had a lot of fun. I am gonna miss that place when it closes in two weeks....

Sunday:
Went up to Concord with my mom and step dad to see my Grandma and to celebrate her birthday. Went out to lunch and stuff... it was fun I guess. My grandma always calls me Josh... which is the cat's name... she's not all there these days... I think it's funny that she always calls me the wrong name. After I got back from C-town it was straight to the lake for me. Drove to the lake, put on my trunks and dove right in. It was a great day at the lake. A bunch of the homies came out so we had quite a crew. Hanging out with friends down at the lake is great loungin, chillin, talking trash, doing crazy dives.... It was a lot of fun. After the lake we BBQ'd which is always great. The girls made some great vegetables and Damian cooked up some f'n good chicken.... it was super fun. I love having people at the house for BBQ's. Always a good time. After the homies went home I watched tv for a bit and then crashed out. Another great weekend for the record books. word.

last night was crazy. I drank a lot. Over a pitcher and then 4 Double shot Margaritas.... I got pretty drunk, which was perfect cuz it was bowling night. I bowl much better when I am tanked. I Shot a 195, 215, and a 235. It was a good night for the team, we came through when we needed to the most. I am feeling the power of too much alchohal a bit today... but it was well worth it. Get wild, get crazy, get drunk, throw bowling balls.... Thursdays are fun.

MARGARITA MONDAYS.... I love Mondays, of course this last Monday wasn't quite as cool as it usually is because 1) I couldn't go swim at the lake because my foot is still kinna f'd and 2) I couldn't go to the store where all the hot girls shop because I don't have any money until payday (Friday is gonna be a great f'n day). I won't get into why I'm broke right now... (but the DMV and Police and unpaid tickets had a lot to do with it) so lets just say Im broke and that Friday is gonna be awesome. Anyway, I digress, Since I only have about $40 dollars to get me to Friday, Ben and I decided to have Margarita Monday at the house. 5 Double shot Margaritas later I was watching Dude Where's My Car (again) and laughing my ass off. It was a lot of fun. I love Margarita Mondays and the summer time. They go together hand in hand, like the ocean and waves... like bread and butter... like air and breathing... like skateboards and mini-ramps like the birds and the bees er.. I dunno... whatever... Margaritas and Mondays go well together and I like them both a lot....

WEEKEND IN REVIEW!!!!

Friday: Met up with Geoff at the pad, and then went down to rock the lake, hit a few good dives here and there... chilled, swam around... the water was perfect... it was great. Cruzed over to the store and picked up some food to BBQ and then cruzed back to the house to eat. At around 9pm I picked up Stew and we went to a video premere/punk show down in San Jose. It was sick. Clay Wheels played, which is always cool. They are a great f'n band, one of my favorites by far. There were lots of shred dogs at the show. A bunch of the OG Greer loc's were there too. It was a good time. Those fools are fun to hang out with.

Saturday: Woke up early, Cruzed down to Sunnyvale to skate with Stew. Ripped it up in the blazing sun for far too long. It was a great sesh. I hit a few tricks that I haven't landed in months. That always feels good. I also busted out some mach 5 tailslides across the middle quarter pipe... those feel f'n great. After it started getting crowded Stew and I hit the road up to Taco Bell and chilled with PeteRock for a bit. It was good to hang out with Pete. He left the next day for the east coast and med school. I will miss seeing that fool around the hood. After we chilled with Pete for a bit it was off to Palo Alto to get our Greer park sesh on. We skated hard but not very well... mostly due to the fact that we had already skated for over 3 hours at the Sunnyvale park. I spent most of the Greer sesh chillin in the shade with my board leaning up against the fence. It was a perfect day of skating. After the sesh I cruzed back to the RWC and kicked it at the house. Watched a few movies, cleaned my room a bit, drank some beers and BBQ'd. It was a good day.

Sunday:
Woke up and chilled... watched some stupid t.v. shows that made me less smart. Got motivated at around 11 and went skating down at the Mt. View park. It was fun. I kinna miss that place even tho it kinna sucks. It's like going home after being on vacation for a couple of weeks... I dunno... I had a good time riding around and being stupid. After a good shred sesh there I decided to cruz up to Redwood so that I could hang out with all the wack kids that skate there. I really don't like the vibe there... what the f.... anyway... I had fun even tho the kids were super wack. Did my usual bag of not that rad tricks but had a lot of fun doing them for some reason. I guess it just felt good to be out riding in the sun with nothing else pushing or pulling at me. It really felt like summer time. After a good sesh it was off to the lake for some more fun in the sun. I rocked some pretty hesh dives for about an hour. Then right when I was getting the groove and getting ready to try some new dives I kicked a rock at the bottom of the lake with the top of my f'n foot. It hurt a lot. Like kicking a rock barefoot as hard as you can should. It sucked. I had to go home to bangage and clean out all the cuts I got. No swimming for me for the next couple of days... which sucks even more. Oh well... maybe wednesday.... The rest of Sunday was spent playing ball with Grace and chillin on the couch with my foot elevated... not a bad weekend all in all tho!

I spent 4 1/2 hours at the DMV today... no that's not a typo, 4 1/2 fucking hours at the DMV. I have one thing to say about the experience: FUCK THAT PLACE! And while I'm at it, like Dre And Ice Cube always said: FUCK THE POLICE... they are the f'n reason I was there in the first place. I once thought hell was driving in traffic through Sacramento in 100-degree weather without an air conditioner... but now I know better, hell is actually a place called the DMV. And like I said just a few sentences back: Fuck that place.

I feel better now.

I was listening to Anthrax on my Launch cast player today and a question came to me: What the F happened to metal music in the 90s???? All of thespeed metal bands went from fast and loud to soft and slow All the Hard rock bands went soft... all the hard edged brutal music turned pop.... just about everything that rocked, stopped rockin. What the hell happened??? Why did the music die? Why did the speed slow down? There was a tour when I was in high school called "Clash of the Titans", which included Megadeth, Anthrax, and Slayer if they did the tour now a days I am sad to say it would be called Clash of the Soft Rockers Some examples to prove my point:

Metallica: from Kill em all, and Justice for All to Load and Reload (I blame it all on Lars)
Anthrax: from Persistence of Time to Stomp 442 (what the f??? talk about a shitty album)
Megadeth: From one of the best metal albums of all time:Rust in Peace to Hidden Treasures???? WtfDave what the #$%^ were you thinking????
Even, dare I say it, Slayer went wack from Seasons in the Abyss (and all the older records) to what the f God hates us all??!!??! its like Korn and top 40 mixed (F that isht)
Rock bands like Guns N Roses: From Appetite for Distruction to Use your Illusion (Shit, they added a keyboard player named Dizzy.. need I say more??????)
Even bands like Suicidal Tendencies got slower

Why?? What disease caused this!!! Was it a government conspiracy to keep people from rocking out??? Did the bands just burn out? Did the corporate gods come down and inflict torture on the bands until they could no longer rock like heavy metal demons? What the F Why? I want to know why!!! I want my music back Lets start a revolution.

I went and saw Pirates of the Caribbean last night. I've gotta say... twas one o'f tha best movie me eyes have seen in quite a while. And that's not just because I am a modern day pirate... haha It was a great movie with a pretty awesome story line... lots of action, some mystery, a bit of comedy, some romance (but not enough to make you sick) and pretty good acting.... a must see if ya ask me... yar..... Pirate ships are awesome... I have always loved pirate movies... treasure, adventure, maidens in distress, cannons, crazy fools, drunkards, sword fights, chaos, storms, danger, excitement.... good stuff.... Yo ho, yo ho, a pirates life for me....

I've been listening to "Awesome 80's" all morning on my Launch Cast player... great stuff.... lots of good memories come to mind when I hear this stuff... My early days on my skateboard, going to fishbanks, and getting new boards at the Sport Loft. Multi-colored High top Airwalk 540's with lace protectors, neon colored shirts and shorts, going to the waterslides, skating red curbs, matching the color of my wheels with the color of my rails and the colors on my deck... cruzin the dirt jumps on my bmx... falling in love for the first time, going to summer camps..... being a kid was pretty fun.

Here's some names to jar your 80's memories: Some of the great artists like: The Cars, Bon Jovi, Phil Collins, Information Society (pure energy), Van Halen, Wang Chung (Dance Hall Days), REO Speedwagon, Michael Jackson (before he went f'n crazy), Men at Work, Madona.... And then some of the not so "great" artists like Chaka Khan, Falco (Rock me Amadeus), Debbie Gibson, Boy George... haha it seems like even the bad music of the 80's was still pretty good.. Even the stuff that hurt your ears is a classic... haha

It's hard to believe that Guns N Roses was spawned from the days of the 80's. The entire Appetite for distruction album is so awesome.... Metallica was hard and heavy.... Iron Maiden ruled all.... There were so many awesome groups back then... and so many great songs.... Rick Springfields Jessies girl ... Don Henlys The Boys of Summer.... Great songs like: Eye of the Tiger, Born in the USA, Tainted Love haha so much great music... even the soft rock rocked hard... haha....

All this music some how fits in my life right now with the lake and allmy out look on life... etc etc... My life feels kind of like the life of a kid in all those 80's movies... cruzin' around town on a bike, jumping of the high dive into the lake... having fun, drinking beers, chillin with friends getting into trouble here and there... all I need now is to go on a hunt for some lost pirate treasure and to have a summer romance... haha To quote VH1: I love the 80's... Viva the days of neon shirts, crazy hair cuts, endless summers, Atari, and great music... yea, I am an 80's kid... DFL.

My weekend was awesome. I skated a ton, went to the lake every night, ate great Mexican food in Down Town Redwood City, went to a great rockabilly show in San Jose, slept in a little, chilled with the homies, and drank some beers. It was a great weekend. The best part of the weekend was prolly skating at Greer on Sunday. A bunch of the O.G. heads threw down a BBQ and all the shed dogs came out to ride. It was a great day of skating and talking shit. I love those kind of days. Super rad lines got thrown down all day long. It was awesome. I watched a little too much t.v. this weekend... but oh well, Animal Planet is good for your brain. The second best part of the weekend was eating a bowl of soup at 2:45 am on Friday night and then falling asleep on the couch till 6am. I usually hate doing that. But for some reason, this time it felt good. I am tired. I played hard all weekend long. That is a good thing.

So last night was bowling night. I, as usual, drank way too much. Somewhere in the area of 1 and 1/2 pitchers to tha dome single handed... Which I guess isn't really all that much, but add in the fact that I had no food in my stomach and that I drank all that beer within about an hour and a half and you've got a pretty drunk S-dog on your hands... I did ok as far as my scores go... shot a 146, 176, and a 210. Not bad, but not great. The people we bowled against were really good. They were fun to bowl with though, unlike most good teams. We only won one game... which kind of sucked, but at least we are now tied for 1st place in the league. Bowling is fun. Drinking and bowling is great fun. Drinking and bowling and doing well is even more fun. Here's to drinking and bowling and having fun.
