I shouldn't have been so negative in my last post. But I guss that is what happens when I watch too much "road rules" and "the real world" on MTV... what the hell happened to that station... sad as it is, I find myself sucked into these mindless shows that do nothing for my intelligence except decrease it's already shrinking level. Those shows are so lame... but for some reason I find myself asking, "What is gonna happen between Mallory and Ace??" (If you don't know what I am talking about, this is a good thing, don't worry about it.) I decided to start reading books again to try and combat the deflation of my brain. Hopefully reading and listening to my internet radio station at work will keep me from going out to buy the new Justin Timberlake album.. or Evanescence's new cd... I need some excercise... Greer anyone?

I just started using internet radio for the first time today... I don't know why I waited so long... how did I make it through my day's before??? The underground hip hop station that I am listening to is off the hook... It's enough to make me want to get some kind of highspeed internet connection at home so that I could listen to good music like this all of the time. Speaking of good underground hip hop... College radio rules. I found a bunch of tapes that I made about three years ago when I was working back in HR in Mt. View. The Waxon Hip Hop Show on KZSU is sick... really really awesome. I need to start listening to that isht again... props.

I went down to the studio to practice being a heavy metal punk rock god a few nights ago. It was pretty f'n fun. Mike wrote a new song that makes me want to break stuff, which is awesome. When we put it all together and rocked it for the first time I was really tempted to go outside and cipher gas from out of my car and then to light my drums on fire while playing them... I even thought about trying to break them into thousands of pieces with my fists... luckily I held back the urge... but it was difficult. I love the music that we write... when I play our songs I feel like taking over the whole world by force... it takes me back to my days as a kid, when I first discovered Iron Maiden and Metallica. All the way back to 1984-85 when I used to wear florescent colored converse and skated goldfish shaped skateboards. I love that feeling. I love rock and roll.

It usually takes me a bit to write about my weekend... that isn't the case about this last weekend. One word can sum up my whole intire weekend: Traffic. That being said here is a review of what I did:

Friday: It took me almost 7 hours to get to my Dad's friends house in a small town 56 miles outside of Reno. It took me over 2 hours just to get out of the Bay Area. I averaged 3 mph going though San Francisco. It sucked. lucky for me, the Spurs game was on, that made the traffic tolerable... barely...

Saturday: On Saturday I skated a ghetto ass skate park in the middle of this tiny town in the middle of no where. It was close to 100 degrees out. The park wasn't very good, but I made the best of it. I thought that it was pretty cool that a small town in the middle of nowhere took the time and money to try to build something... even if that something was pretty lame and not very fun. On a lighter note, after I skated I learned how to make some really good salsa, so invite me to a party if you need some really good salsa to eat....

Sunday: I left BFE at around 12, hoping to beat most of the traffic going back to the Bay Area.... I saw an even more ghetto skatepark in the town close to I-80, I was tempted to skate it just so that I could say that I skated the two worst skateparks ever... but I didn't. I should have left at around 6 or maybe 5am... It took me 8 hours to get home. I basically sat in traffic from South Lake Tahoe all the way through Vacaville. It sucked. Not only was it a really slow and really f'n long f'n drive, but it was hotter then a muther fucker out there. If there is a hell, it will be exactly like driving 5 mph down I-80 in traffic through Sacramento in 100 degree weather without an air conditioner. It doesent get any worse then that. I got home and felt like a zombie. Luckily the Spurs game was still on and I got to see them win the NBA championship... That was the highlight of my weekend... what a totally lame weekend... Though I will say this, it was good to see my Dad, I don't get to see him much so it was good to spend some time with him. It was also good to get out of the bay for a few days... it made me appreciate what I have here. hahaha... f.

So last night was pretty fun and pretty wild. I used my super drunken bowling fighting style tactics on the lanes and threw a 251 in my last game... we won't talk about my first two games... but let's just say they were way under my average... haha I have come to the determination that I need to pound an entire pitcher before the games start for me to fully function properly. After bowling it was off to the Carlos Club for some more drinking and a bit of singing on the ole M-i-c. Damain and I threw down pretty fat on Young MC's "Bust a Move". We alternated lines and threw down a pretty sick show. It was fun. We got roudy and I drank way too much... but oh well. All in a days work right? I worked hard last night. This weekend I am driving up to some small city near Reno to visit with my Dad and one of his friends... wish me luck and stuff... hopefully I will get to skate a park or two on the way back on sunday... we'll see... I wish i was gonna be doing other things besides driving I-80 all weekend...

I didn't sleep well last night. my thoughts kept jumping from one idea to the next... I have a lot on my mind I guess... It feels like a million things are going though my head all at once and that I can't focus on any one of those million thoughts for more then 2 or 3 seconds... it feels like I am looking through an opaque shower door or something. This overload is making it hard for me to concentrate on anyting at all... I should be out riding my board at Greer right now... or on my bike on a 500 mile ride...or just chillin on a deserted beach somewhere... or maybe running to the hills like Iron Maiden..... I may have to settle for just taking a nap under my desk....work is going to be difficult today. sigh...

I was reading a friends web journal today and realized that they were watching the same movie on tv that I was watching last weekend... for some reason that blew me away... I don't really know why that should seem all that crazy.. but for some reason I was like wow, that is pretty f'n cool... "Cutters".... every cycling jersey should have that written on it. Weekend in Rewind:

Friday:
Friday was pretty chill, rolled down to Sunnyvale to hang out with capn' Pete Rock and crew. Watched the San Antonio game down at Jakes with all the skate heads. It was a lot of fun hanging out with those guys, I hadn't seen them in a long time. The pizza was good and so was the game. After pizza we chilled at Pete's place for a bit and watched a bunch of old footy tapes that Capn' Pete has been editing for a skate video. It was rad to see all the old spots we used to skate at. I need to start skating more....

Saturday:
Got up early and rolled to the Sunnyvale park... Got worked all morning. It felt like I had not skated in years... my balance was all off. Some crazy dude from Santa Cruz ran into me and I racked both of my knees on the cement.... that sucked... About an hour into the session I turned funny and hurt my lower back a little... which sucked and ended my session. I decided to roll up to Skate Works to check out some swim trunks and shoes... ended up getting both. : ) Went home and then cruzed over to the deli by our house. There are some hot skater type chicks that work there... too bad they are only like 18ish... ah.. to be a kid again.. hahaha got a super good sandwich and ate it out in the back yard with the dog and Capn' Damian. After lunch Capn' Damian and I went out looking for surf boards... but had no luck. We also went and looked at a couple of bike shops and camera shops. I actually managed to go to all of these places without spending much money, in fact, I only spent $3.00 on a new/used camera strap... It was a lot of fun. I started planning out what I need to get to make my dark room which is really getting me pumped... I am super excited to get that up and running. I also started makeing plans to build a mini-ramp in the side yard... : ) lots of plans... now I just have to start saving up some money...

Saturday night came around and it was time to rock. Carlos club style. Got drunk, got loose, represented for the Ramones, had a great time... the Carlos Club is always a good time... we got crazy and belted out lyrics like our lives depended on it. It was rad.

Body count for the eve:

3 - Bottles of Budweiser
2 - Cold Corona's

Sunday
Sunday, it was chill mode day...
Spent the majority of the day doing laundry, cleaning my room, watching tv, and playing Centipede.

more later... to tired to write more now...

Last night was bowling night. I got my fade on... which is a good thing for me when I need to bowl well. I think I had about 7 beers... I was feelin the flow. We won two games and a lot of fools came through with clutch shots... it was a lot of fun. One of the games came down to the very last frame... I had to throw at least two strikes in a row to win... I hit three in a row and we won... it was pretty crazy. After bowling we cruzed over to the ole boardwalk for some pizza and hotwings, and then I went with Capn's Ben and Mike down to the studio to get hesh. It was a great night of rockin and rollin.

You ever have "one of those days...." well today is one of them for me.... woke up super early... then went back to sleep... got in my car late for work and realized I was almost out of gas... the gas station at the bottom of the hill only takes cash... looked in my wallet and only had 5$... so I put in 5 dollars worth in the ole car and hit the road, now even later for work then I was when I left in the first place... got to work and realized I forgot to take my badge out of my pants from yesterday so I couldn't get into the building and had to call up and have Damian come down to let me in... I did a bunch of data entry and was getting a ton done, this was all for not because the entry program froze and deleted everything I had completed... the programmer couldn't figure out what happened... so now I just have to re-do it. I had to go to an instructional class on how to use the new copy machines at 10am... it was not helpful at all. Talk about a waste of time. Since then I have been working on making sure that some study binders are in the right order, with the right page numbers, and form numbers, and page titles etc etc.... These binders could be used as boat anchors... there must be over 200 pages in each one... it isn't very fun going through them. That is an understatement. Sigh... is this day over yet?

I got a crazy random call from one of my good friends from my days in SB last night. I hadn't talked to her via voice in prolly over 3 years. It was a great hearing a voice that I hadn't heard in such a long time... it really took me back. It was awesome to catch up with her and to chat about and remember the good ole days on Sabado and in SB... I haven't laughed so hard and enjoyed a phone conversation like that in years. It was rad. Ice Cube is in the house. Thanks for callin' yo. Sabado por vida.

This last weekend was awesome. To sum it up in one word: Skateboarding. I skated 4 different parks, went to a ramp jam skate party, saw Clay Wheels play at the party, watched skate videos, watched some crazy kickflip backside lipslides go down on the ramp, and even learned a few new tricks... Summer is here, mach 1 tailslides are in full effect, and I am in shred mode... parks are gonna get slashed. It was a great weekend and hopefully it was just a small taste of the chaos that is still to come all summer long. Rock and f'n roll.
